How long have you been in practice?
Since 2004
What’s the most challenging aspect of your practice?
The patient aspect – their expectations vs. reality and trying to help them understand their reality. Also, getting the communication right with some labs, especially with getting a workflow going with digital design.
What do you love about what you do?
My job keeps me on my toes. Nothing’s ever the same. Every person is different; every case is different. I enjoy finding different ways to approach challenges with the materials available or finding new materials. With prosthodontics, I love always learning. Never get too confident or be afraid to ask questions.
Why do you like working with Cagenix?
I like the 3D imaging process for approvals and the ability to visualize what a framework is going to look like. I appreciate the opportunity to talk back and forth with the designers and get their feedback. They’re not afraid to tell me when they don’t advise doing something, which is great coming from someone with more experience with what does and doesn’t work. Having their insight and sometimes encouraging caution has been great! In one case, the designer recommended a different type of bar, and it worked beautifully.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I love gardening and photography. I love being a tourist in my own town and taking advantage of all the activities Houston has to offer.
