Meet Dr. Jonathan Bensoussan, DDS
How long have you been in practice?
In January 2021, I pursued my desire of becoming a solo practitioner and moved to Arizona to buy a Prosthodontic practice, now known as the Institute for Advanced Dentistry. I practice in Peoria, AZ on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays and in Phoenix, AZ, on Tuesdays. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry and pursued training in complex restorative dentistry during my three year Prosthodontics residency at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry.
What's the most challenging aspect of your practice?
The most pressing challenge I am presented with is having the tools to be able to deliver a prosthesis which out-lives the patient. With Cagenix as a partner, I am confident I am able to achieve this.
What do you love about what you do?
Today, I find myself most fulfilled when I see my patients smile. It's an indescribable feeling knowing that I have restored functionality by improving a patient's ability to chew and that I have improved emotional health by boosting a patient's self-confidence.
Why do you like working with Cagenix?
The AccuFrame 360 bar concept is a perfect match for my treatment philosophy. Having a milled bar, to which either PMMA or zirconia is bonded to, allows for longer cantilevers and a stronger prosthesis. The esthetics and occlusion of these restorations are exemplary and guarantee minimal chair-side adjustments. The long-term benefit for patients is that once the PMMA wears off, the procedure to replace the prosthesis occurs in one clinical appointment.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work?
When I am not in my Dental coat, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends seeking out the best food and drinks in the area I am exploring. Year round, I am outdoors playing tennis any chance I get, and in the winter, I spend my weekends on the slopes fueling my adrenaline rush and love for skiing. Recently, I have taken up golf as a hobby and hope to become proficient in it as Arizona is known for having some of the best, and most beautiful, courses.
